I had a fantastic experience recently when I attended the Analogue Digital Conference for it’s first visit to Melbourne. I was not disappointed!
The first session was with 3 fabulous new creatives Carla McRae (Mel), Loretta Lizzio (Mel), Sam Yong (Mel) plus a panel Q&A at the end. A brilliant idea to theme the sessions in this way, as it really allowed us as an audience to maintain a consistent mindset and deep dive into how this might apply to our lives and learnings.
These fabulous young people had so much wisdom to share, the common messages?
- Success is achieved only through hard work
- Trust your gut
- Practice every single day
- Always be learning
- Never stop experimenting and challenging yourself.
The most amazing thing about each of these young creatives was how much they stressed taking learning into their own hands and really working hard and consistently to perfect their craft. Made me feel really quite lazy about my lack of dedication to my art making!
